Tip of the day: Don't get sick in China
Achievement of the day: Udi first (hopefully last) Chinese blood test
The Chinese experience continues in the local modern hospital… Udi was sick with unbelievable ear pain on Shabbat and I had to take him Sunday to the local Chinese vet. Some explanations are required: 200 years ago they used to clean the germs off the tools with fired alcohol, masks over face, 150 year old building, IV for antibiotic (what about tablets???). Thank G-d for the local nurse that speaks better Arabic then English (she worked in Jordan for two years). You see my Arabic is worse than my Chinese but we managed. Seeing the 'modern' facilities and really wanting to go back home (SD that is) I decided to skip the Antibiotic IV for Udi and trust the tablets Seth gave us before we left to the laugh of the hospital staff that I am going to be back tomorrow to be treated the way they recommended. Udi feels better today and I got the local English speaking nurse phone number just in case.
So if you do get sick keep your air evacuation card renewed just in case.
