what you do on a sunny day in Dalian?

hello hello,
This is a weather forecast from china: sun sun

sun!

I haven't had a day like yesterday (and today) since i arrived here.

A few days ago my teacher told me about her hiking clubs( she is registered in 2 of them).
These people meet at week ends for hiking in the mountains around and during the week they
are hiking at a park in Dalian.

Since it was a clear day and the weather was great (at the day before it was raining the
whole day) the event was about to happen. So she invited me to join.
I met my teacher near school and we took a bus and an electric train to the park (the electric
train stop is in the middle of a square ( which is a circle, remember?) in order to reach it
you have to Cross the roads with dozens of cars going everywhere and no pedestrian crossings.

Also, the cars has no routs on the square, so everyone just go wherever the want. scary!

we reached the park 25 minutes early. She told me that the group is meeting at 19:00 since
after this hour the park is free.

we got near that gate and dozens of people just sit and wait for the gate keepers to walk away. On the gate itself there were 8 (!!!) keepers. why?!

at some point it was so obvious everybody is waiting there just to go in and not pay. The keepers were there till exactly 19:00, not a minute less!

Finally we entered the park, there was still some light to i went and took some pics( they are in michals last post. They are at the same batch with the pics from the park here near our hotel. so it's confusing...(look for the statues and sea in my pics).

I walked with 15 Chinese. It wasn't a hard walk but at some point the road became pretty steep...

It's a beautiful park with beautiful statues of people and sea creatures (fish, jelly fish, sharks, sea turtles, amazing things!)

It was a really good exercise and i enjoyed it more than going to the gym across from our door.

have a shabbat shalom!
