Hi

Thank you for your email.

At this time there is no kosher bread available any where in china except from dini's kosher restaurant and shanghai Chabad house.

There is a brand of oil called arawana that is kosher (no stamp on bottle) but has been checked by my husband.

I am really not sure what kosher products you can find in dalian but in Beijing we have some small western food stores that sell some kosher products from the US. They have Heinz vinegar, OU tuna, pasta

The rest is not available at this time.

My suggestion is to bring whatever you can with you to be on the safe side.

If there is anything else let me know

The final pack

As always, before every trip there is so much to do. But this time i have more then that. I need to pack everything i have and put in boxes. I'm leaving the apertment. The contract end in a few days. So there is a LOT to do before the trip.

Oh also...I don't even have a ticket yet...hope to solve that in the next few days.

I took a Chinese book from Inbal. I hope we get to use it.

You have more access to kosher products in Beijing and Shanghai than other

cities in China. If you are stopping in Hong Kong, there will be a greater

selection.

For the restaurant (meat only) we can find everything here except for balsamic

vinegar, hot dogs, pastrami, non-dairy creamer. Dairy – what you won't find

here are cheeses. Either through us, or Chabad, we can send you meat and

chicken, which you can then prepare at home. We can vacuum pack, and send

overnight.

For a better review of what is available in Beijing, I would suggest that you

go to the Chabad website – chabadbeijing.com. You can also write directly

to Dini Freundlich at chabadbeijing@hotmail.com

Shabbos – we can send you challahs, food and wine. Or make a trip to

Beijing and spend it with us. Chabad can make your reservation at the

Renaissance Hotel, which is only a ten minute walk from the Chabad House.

Please don't hesitate asking us for assistance.

Expectations!
So we are going to China. It is around the corner in couple of weeks we are actually going. My dream is coming to be a __________. I am obsess with learning the Chinese culture and language. I am trying to pass it on to the kids. They are slowly getting it. Hopefully it is an experience they never forget and passsssssssss it on to their kids. I was promised that Dalian the place we are going to is just like SD. I was told we will have great time. I hope we have great time TOGETHER.

Getting ready - I just dont know what to expect. Food -- OK so it is rice and vegetables for couple of months- just like the Dr. you better loose some pounds or else.... i guess he meant he is sending me to China.
